“中国共产党”的英文缩写到底是CPC，还是CCP？
国内媒体几乎都用CPC，而国外媒体大多用CCP。
解答这个问题，首先我们要知道：
CPC=Communist Party of China
CCP=Chinese Communist Party
CPC和CCP都指“中国共产党”，但国内官方认可说法是CPC。
无论是国内的英文媒体，还是中国共产党新闻网的网址（www.cpcnews.cn）都用CPC。
那么，国内官方认可的CPC，和外媒更爱用的CCP，两者到底有何区别呢？
从语言分析角度上看，Communist Party是“共产党”的意思，ofChina更侧重“属于中国”，强调从属关系；而Chinese表示“与中国有关的”，更侧重Communist Party这一党派属性，相对而言弱化了中国的这一从属关系。
-ese 是一个拉丁源形容词性后缀，表示与一个国家或民族的居民/语言/特色/风格有相关性的(inhabitant, language，character，or style of a nation or an ethnic group)。
从历史角度上看，也可以发现两者的不同。
历史上，是先有共产国际（成立于1919）后有中国共产党（成立于1921年），并且中国共产党的成立受到了共产国际的支持，包括经费支持。从国际视觉上看，中国共产党更像是共产国际在中国的一个支部，用Chinese Communist Party也就更好理解。
但在苏德战争爆发之后，到了1943年6月，共产国际解散了。
而此时，中国官方用CPC取代CCP也是合情合理。要知道，共产国际已成为历史，而我们的立场是“既不对外输出革命，输出意识形态，也不会对外输出发展模式”，of China更侧重“中国属性”，强调这个党是为中国人民、中华民族奋斗的政党。
而一些外媒坚持用Chinese Communist Party（CCP），是因为他们从自身意识形态的角度出发，习惯强调Communist Party这一党派属性。
当然，也不是说但凡用CCP的文章就一定是负面内容而用CPC就是正面的。
CCP与CPC作为两个缩写符号，都是指“中国共产党”，只是CPC是中国官方表达。具体是正面还是负面，还是由具体内容决定。
