春节是Chinese New Year 还是Lunar New Year？
2018年春节的时候，国际名模刘雯在Ins上祝大家新年快乐，却遭到网友的抵制，最后不得不删掉重发。
虽然已经是旧闻了，但还是要多加注意！
那么，到底是“Happy Chinese New Year”还是“Happy Lunar New Year ”亦或是“Happy Spring Festival”呢？

春节，中国的新年，来源于中国农历，后来传播到亚洲一些国家和地区，因此，这些国家和地区也基本都采用中国农历作为庆祝新年的基准。而在一些英语国家里“春”“中国年”也一直用“Chinese New Year”，简称CNY，或者“Spring Festival”。
后来，韩国和越南为了去中国化，认为他们的新年不应该称作Chinese New Year，从而提出了“Lunar New Year”，并希望其作为亚洲地区新年的总称。
虽然现在英语里CNY和LNY两个词并存，但CNY的主流地位还是不可动摇的，基本上各大媒体在使用时还是倾向于使用CNY，毕竟，春节发源于中国是不争的事实。
当然，我们的国家官方还是很大度的，除了使用“Spring Festival ”，还有“Chinese New Year” “Lunar New Year”和“Chinese Lunar New Year ”三种说法。
因为，不管是中国年、农历年，都源于中国文化，根在中国，别人是拿不走的，这就是文化自信！

03、过年不是pass the year
celebrate Chinese New Year 过年
celebrate the Spring Festival 过年
pass是通过，但是过年可不能翻译成pass the year，这是直译。要明白，中国人过年可不是说把这个年过完，真正意思应该是庆祝新年的到来，所以过年的地道表达是celebrate 后面加新年的表达。

He celebrates the Lunar New Year with his parents every year.
他每年都和父母一起过年。
